Materials

What it’s made of.

Grills and appliances: 304 stainless steel, with a proprietary heating system and a limited lifetime warranty on the GSL-32 and GXL-45 grills.
Frame: welded aluminum square tubing.
Tops: 1/8" Italian Avellero stone over a lightweight honeycomb aluminum core.
Siding: the current units are cement Hardy Board with a white sprayed stucco finish (the last run, while supply lasts). Paradise Grills is moving to a thicker, architectural vertical-lined compressed siding that holds up better against the outdoor elements.
Stainless details: bar rail, engraved outlet covers and a built-in outdoor-rated junction box.

Which models work on a pool deck?

Every island needs a level, solid base. For a tiki look, the thatched Tahiti and Abaco. For a long bar facing the water, the Maui line. The catalog pictures the Abaco, Monaco, Maui 8 and St. Croix 8 + GX-4 poolside. Mark confirms the fit for your deck.

Will it hold up near the pool?

The grills and appliances are 304 stainless, frames are welded aluminum and tops are Italian Avellero stone over a honeycomb aluminum core. Paradise Grills’ newer siding is a thicker, architectural vertical-lined compressed siding that holds up better against the outdoor elements. Follow the owner manual’s cleaning routine and rinse with fresh water after pool parties.

How close to the water can it go?

Ask your pool builder and local building department about required setbacks from the water’s edge and from pool equipment. Don’t guess. Electrical and gas work should be done by licensed pros.

How big are they?

The model number is the length in feet for bar islands (a Maui 10 is about 10 ft long). The catalog doesn’t list depth, height or shade-model dimensions, so Mark confirms the full footprint on your written quote.
