Why shade

A Florida backyard needs a roof, not just a grill.

Northeast Florida sun is strong most of the year, and afternoon storms roll in fast. An open grill island gets used at dinner. A shade kitchen gets used all day: a defined outdoor room with seating, light and sound that people actually stay in.

Shade where people sit

A pergola or thatched shade over the bar puts the seats out of direct sun, so the bar works at lunch, not only after sunset.

Built from outdoor materials

Welded aluminum square-tube frames, 1/8" Italian Avellero stone over a honeycomb aluminum core, and 304 stainless grills and appliances.

Built to be used at night

App-controlled LED lighting and an outdoor marine stereo on every shade model. The Monaco and Mykonos add TVs, fans and dimmable puck lighting.

What is Shades of Paradise?

It’s how the Paradise Grills catalog groups its shade-structure kitchens: the Portofino Pergola, St. Barths, Monaco and Mykonos pergolas, and the thatched Tahiti and Abaco. Each pairs a pergola or thatched shade with a full bar and grill.

How big are they? Will one fit my yard?

The catalog doesn’t list dimensions for the shade models, so Mark measures your yard and confirms the footprint on a written quote. The free 3D design shows the kitchen on your actual yard, at real size, before you decide.

What’s the current offer?

The standing offer is up to 40–60% off MSRP*. Additional promotions may be available at individual showrooms. Mark’s written quote is the number that counts.

What’s included?

Each model card lists what the configuration includes, from the catalog. Catalog photos often show optional upgrades, so the list (and your written quote) is what the price covers.

Pergola or thatched?

The Portofino Pergola, St. Barths, Monaco and Mykonos use a pergola. The Tahiti and Abaco use a thatched shade for the island look. Check your HOA’s rules on shade structures and thatch before you order.

Can I use it after dark?

Yes, that’s what they’re built for. App-controlled LED lighting and a marine stereo are on every shade model. The Monaco and Mykonos add TVs, fans and dimmable puck lighting.

What about delivery and setup?

White-glove delivery includes drop-off, setup and up to 6 months of post-delivery follow-up (see the FSA for full details). Islands are built in Paradise Grills’ own factories.
